The Great Higher Education Funding Debate Event Feedback
A couple of comments commended the activity the “first-of-its kind” for NUS:
“Excellent event, exactly what the NUS should be spending its time and resources on. More of the same please.”
“Very good, more of the same. Need to focus NUS' resources on Education and Welfare.”
“Good, enjoyable day, good to see NUS using a range of tactics.”
“Holding it at the beginning of the year would have been more useful as it would have armed us with more information to go forward with the campaign.”
Holding it before the third term would mean that we wouldn’t have to compete with union elections and handovers that prevented many officers from attending.
At the event many speakers congratulated us on holding this kind of debate and praised NUS for this activity.
A number of officers would have liked longer time to debate and ask questions. Due to the unknown nature of the event and the packed schedule of speakers this wasn’t possible but we should consider this for future events as well as considering alternative formats to vary the experience.
Website
Information and materials on the website were deemed to by 36.4% to be fair, but this could be due to navigation problems as the only comments to expand on this commented on the lack of userbility:
“Website is a nightmare to navigate!”
“Needs much better layout”
Fewer people answered these questions but those who did rated the activity and information highly the majority deeming both as either good or very good.
