FE and HE Network Day

22 April, University of Essex

The post-16 education sector has changed in recent years; in particular HE institutions have been establishing connections and collaborations with FE colleges. This FE in HE network event is designed to explore how HE students receive representation within FE colleges, to ultimately make the student experience better. In addition, it aims to provide an opportunity to discuss related issues that FE and HE students' unions can work together on.

Objectives

  • Identify HE Institution partnerships with FE Colleges
  • Share ideas, challenges and best practice with colleagues
  • Compare and discuss issues of common interest in a safe environment
  • Identify key actions to take forward
  • Establish network contacts for future support and assistance
