Women's Campaign Conference

Welcome to the NUS National Women’s Conference 2009, one of our most important events of the year. We represent over 3 million women student’s who are often under-represented in the student movement and wider society, the NUS Women’s Campaign ensures that these often ignored voices are heard. As women we are sidelined in many areas of modern life including politics, in the boardroom, and a significant number of other professions. We are paid less and expected to do more, and two of us a week will die as a result of domestic violence. These are just some of the reasons why we hold a 'women only' Conference for everybody who defines as a women, and you’re invited!

Each students’ union is entitled to send one voting delegate to the Conference – completely free – as well as the opportunity to send observers, at a cost.

Women’s Conference this year will be a motivating and inspiring event with international speakers, innovative workshops, passionate debates and important elections.
