The event

NUS will be holding its second Great Higher Education Funding Debate to bring together student officers and activists with politicians, academics and other movers and shakers who will be hoping to impact on the debate about the future funding of our higher education system when it comes up for review in Westminster in 2009.


Speakers will include: (subject to change)

  • Professor Les Ebdon, VC University of Bedfordshire
  • David Purdy, Compass
  • Claire Fox, Institution of Ideas

The debate essay booklet - 14 of the leading minds in education have provided NUS with essays on the future of HE funding in Britain.

The event is free of charge but if you book and place and do not attend you will be charged a £10 administration fee. This does not apply if you cancel 3 days prior to the event.
